COVID-19 Policies and Procedures for Reopening

Songs For Kids Foundation, Inc. (“SFK”) has adopted the following Covid-19 Policies and Procedures while resuming its in-person music programs (“SFK’s Programs”). Questions and concerns about these policies and procedures should be directed to SFK’s staff or executive director or may be emailed to info@songsforkids.org.

IMPORTANT: In order to protect the children and families who partake in SFK’s Programs, SFK reserves the right to deny services, participation in SFK’s Programs and/or entry into SFK’s Premises to any individual at any time for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to, for any failure to abide or comply with SFK’s Policies and Procedures.

  • SFK will abide all applicable Federal, State and Local laws concerning Covid-19;
  • SFK will use reasonable efforts to follow CDC guidance concerning Covid-19 if/as applicable;
  • SFK will require all Participants to sign SFK’s Covid-19 Consent Form and Waiver as a prerequisite to program participation;
  • SFK may ask all persons to sign SFK’s Covid-19 Consent Form and Waiver as a prerequisite to entrance to SFK’s premises or participation in its Programs;
  • SFK may request and/or require all Employees and Volunteers to sign SFK’s Covid-19 Consent Form and Waiver as a prerequisite to entrance to SFK’s premises or participation in its Programs;
  • SFK cannot guarantee the health or safety of any individual with respect to Covid-19 and all persons participating in SFK’s Programs or entering SFK’s premises do so entirely at their own risk.

VACCINATIONS

  • SFK will use reasonable efforts to request that Participants and/or Employees disclose to SFK whether they are vaccinated;
  • SFK may ask Guests and/or Volunteers to disclose to SFK whether they are vaccinated;
  • SFK will not independently investigate or verify whether any individual has been duly vaccinated but will rely entirely on the information received from each individual;
  • SFK may ask Employees or Volunteers having regular contact with Participants or Guests to provide proof of vaccination but will rely on the information received and not independently investigate or verify the accuracy of the information received;
  • SFK cannot guarantee, and makes no assurances about, the vaccination status of any individuals participating in SFK’s Programs or entering its premises.

PREVENTION MEASURES

  • SFK has installed new air filters at SFK’s Center
  • SFK may require all vaccinated individuals to wear masks at SFK’s discretion.
  • All individuals known to SFK to be unvaccinated are required to wear masks at all times while on SFK’s premises or participating in any in-person Programs.
  • SFK may permit vaccinated SFK Employees and/or Volunteers to not wear masks when they are not in the presence of Participants or Guests. 
  • Be advised that unvaccinated individuals could be present at SFK’s premises prior to, during, or after your visit in a manner that overlaps with your visit. 
  • SFK will try to accommodate reasonable requests but cannot promise to do so nor make any assurances, and SFK further reserves the right to operate its premises and Programs as it sees fit using its discretion.
  • SFK reserves the right to require mask wearing of any and all individuals as a prerequisite to entry upon SFK’s Premises and/or participation in SFK’s in-person Programs whenever SFK deems necessary at SFK’s sole discretion.
  • SFK may undertake and require additional screening and virus prevention efforts at its discretion at any time, including but not limited to:
    • inquiring about whether any individuals have had any recent contact with anyone known to have been diagnosed with or tested positive for Covid-19 or had any exposure to anyone who is experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms;
    • inquiring about whether any individuals have recently been experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms,
    • taking any individual’s temperature via forehead temperature taking scanners prior to entry upon SFK’s Premises or participation in SFK’s Programs,
    • requiring any and/or all individuals to partake in social distancing measures;
    • asking individuals to make reasonable use of hand sanitizers 

Definitions

“Employee(s)” means any employees of SFK;

“Volunteer(s)” means any non-Employee volunteers providing services to or for SFK;

“Participant(s)” means all intended recipients of SFK’s services participating in SFK’s Programs, including minors and non-minors, and their parents or designated legal guardians;

“Guest(s)” means anyone other than an Employee or Participant who is permitted to attend SFK Programs or enter SFK’s premises;
